PCS Reaches Out to Disadvantaged Learners
Polokwane Chemical Suppliers (PCS), as part of their corporate social investment programme, handed over toiletries
to disadvantaged learners at Kabelo Secondary School in Polokwane on July 23.
According to PCS Marketing Manager, Maggie Mampane, the gesture was aimed at making a difference in the lives
of the learners at the school.

Mahlahlalane Drop-in Centre in Bergnek received a donation of a new building from Polokwane Chemical Suppliers (PCS) on Friday, 14 May 2021.
The handover ceremony was attended by the local community and Mahlahlalane Drop-in Centre board members. According to PCS Chief Executive Officer, Melita Mampane, this is not the first time PCS donated to the Mahlahlalane Drop-in Centre. “The Women’s Auxiliary of the Methodist Church firstly donated a braai stand, and then we donated shelters so that they do not have to cook in the rain.

Mama Phatsima’s Corner
Hello everyone!
So, every year during the second term of the school calendar, my team and I embark on our School Hygiene Campaign which is aimed at teaching the little ones the importance of practicing general hygiene and most importantly washing hands (how fitting). We work hard to ensure that the presentation is always fun, colourful and interactive. And of course, we always come bearing awesome gifts. This campaign was first initiated in 2015 and since then we have managed to visit over 240 schools and see over 50 000 learners in the foundation phase across Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Gauteng. (more…)

Ensure Compliance
In the wake of the COVID-19 or what we have all come to know and refer to as the Coronavirus, the world has been caught by surprise. A scary surprise and reality that we all have to live with.
Governments all over the world, with the guidance of the World Health Organization (WHO) have put measures and regulations in place in an attempt to curb the spread of the virus and flatten the curve.
Part of these measures and guidelines include social distancing, avoiding touching our faces and washing our hands as frequently as possible.

Sanitary Towels’ Handover during Mandela Day Celebration at Kabelo Secondary School
Studies have shown that at least 30% of learners miss school due to their monthly periods because they cannot afford sanitary towels as well as other essential hygiene products. Through a combined effort with the PCS employees, we were able to donate more than 800 packs of sanitary towels to Kabelo Secondary School in July 2019.
